I'm Kalene, the hands of Honky Tonk Heifer Designs.

Honestly, I'm just a heifer trying to get by. Doing what I love, making things that matter, things that make me smile and trying to give that to everyone I meet.

Started out as creative chaos….

I've always been drawn to things with a story. Old saddles with miles behind them. Worn leather. Family treasures tucked away in closets. The kind of things that have been carried, loved, repaired, and passed down. The things that mean something.

One of my most treasured possessions is a hat that was given to my mom by my grandma for her sixteenth birthday. Over forty years later, I had the privilege of restoring it and giving it a Second Ride. Now I get to wear it myself.

That hat reminded me that a hat isn't just something you put on your head.

It's where life happens.

It's worn through long work days, rodeos, weddings, heartbreaks, celebrations, road trips, on ordinary Tuesdays that somehow become memories. Over time, a good hat starts carrying pieces of the person who wears it.

That's why I do this.

Whether I'm building a custom hat from scratch or breathing new life into an old one, my goal is the same: create something worth keeping.

Something that tells your story.

Something that feels like you.

Something that might one day be handed to a son, daughter, grandchild, or friend along with a story about where it's been.

At Honky Tonk Heifer Designs, I believe the best things in life aren't just owned.

They're carried.

They're remembered.

They're passed down.

Because a good hat protects you from the weather.

A great hat carries your story.

Not just a hat…

Every crease, scuff, and mile tells a story. The best hats aren't measured by how they look when they're made, but by the memories they carry years later.

Some hats are made to be worn. Others are made to be remembered.

Different hats, different stories, same passion behind every one.
